At Young Bristol ensuring the safety of young people is the bedrock of our work from the activities and programmes we provide through to our commitment to safeguarding every young person entrusted into our care.
Today’s young people are faced with many challenges that threaten their chances of succeeding in life. Unfortunately, recent news headlines remind us that we live in a dangerous world that puts too many young people at serious risk. Given these realities, here at Young Bristol we are ever-vigilant in ensuring that our Community Clubs are safe havens for Bristol’s young people, staffed by caring adult mentors who hold Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) checks and have the best interest of young people at heart. While safeguarding young people has been one of our priorities throughout our history, our work in this area is never done.
Young Bristol remains committed today as it has always been to the safety, protection and well being of young people. Our message to anyone who would potentially compromise our work is clear. We have a ZERO tolerance for inappropriate behaviour of any kind and we put resources behind that stance
