This Summer, Young Bristol have been hosting a group of young people from Hanover, Germany here in Bristol. Our twinned cities have a long history of working together and we are delighted to be supporting the trip alongside colleagues from Creative Youth Network and the Bristol Hanover Council.
It was a fun filled week involving workshops with a professional graffiti artist, climbing, kayaking, paddle boarding and a street art tour! For many of the group it was their first visit to the UK, so we wanted to make sure they got the opportunity to explore the city. The trip culminated in an exhibition at The Station in central Bristol where invited guests could come along to see the art work the group have been creating during their stay.
We look forward to building on this relationship and hope, if possible, to take young people from Bristol over to visit Hannover in the future.
The programme has been kindly supported by the Bristol Hanover Council and Jon Finch, of the Museums Team at Bristol City Council.
