Young Bristol are thrilled to be part of #HeldinPockets, a short film by the Bristol Youth Investment Fund partnership, highlighting the impact of youth services across the city.
33% of people in Bristol are under 25. Youth services are where we find comfort, security and guidance. Held in Pockets is a spoken word poem by young artist Leeza Awojobi, it compares the comfort and security one finds in youth services to the comfort and security of a pocket – something you hardly notice, but which is necessary.
The Bristol Youth Investment Fund partnership is a collaboration between Acta Community Theatre, Creative Youth Network, Empire Fighting Chance, Travelling Light Theatre Company, Young Bristol and Youth Moves.
With thanks to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and The National Lottery Community Fund for co-funding this project.
