Young Bristol would like to extend a huge congratulations to Kyle from Hartcliffe Club for Young People, who was awarded “The Volunteer of the Year Award” at the Bristol Social Impact Awards this week!

The Volunteer of the Year Award at the Bristol Social Impact Awards is awarded to individuals for making notable differences and inspiring contributions through volunteering in their community!

Hartcliffe Club for Young People chose to nominate Kyle after he had overcome significant barriers to become a driving force at his local Youth Club! Kyle became a young volunteer at Hartcliffe Club over one year ago, as a junction to continue his mental health journey.

Since joining the group, he has been involved in organising a charitable event on behalf of a homeless charity, coached a junior football team to enter into our Interclub football tournament and so much more to support other young people

Young Bristol are incredibly proud to share that Kat Katuszka, Club Leader at BS14 Stockwood Youth Club has completed her Level 3 Youth Work qualification!

Kat completed her Level 3 Youth Work qualification with South Gloucestershire Playscheme in 2023. Since beginning the course, Kat has learnt how to engage with young people in a youth work setting, and how she can promote young people’s personal and social development, enabling them to have a voice and influence in the community.

We are very proud of Kat for completing her Level 3 Youth Work training. This training helps to progress her professional development but also has a huge impact on our delivery at BS14 Stockwood Youth Club. She taken on her learning and used it to influence how she plans sessions and provide young people with an engaging and youth focused environment. Congratulations!”

-Andy Kimber, Head of Operations

At Young Bristol, we continue to reinforce our strategy pillars by developing our people and programmes by providing opportunities for personal and professional development, skills for life and opportunities to grow.
