Over the last few months we have had some new people join the Team at Young Bristol. Now that the flurry of summer has passed we are delighted to introduce them properly. Please welcome:

Lucy Saunders – Development & Fundraising Manager
Lucy has 11 years experience of working in the charity sector. She has a wide range of fundraising and development experience gained whilst working for both national and local charities. Lucy’s role at Young Bristol will include playing a key role in shaping and implementing the Development and Fundraising Strategy of the charity to ensure we can drive forward existing and new initiatives whilst ensuring long term growth and sustainability. Lucy is passionate about making a sustainable difference to the lives of young people, families and local communities across Bristol.

Chantelle – Programmes Assistant & Youth Engagement Apprentice
Chantelle is Young Bristol’s Youth Engagement Apprentice working with our clubs throughout Bristol. She got involved with Young Bristol back in 2013 through the NCS programme as a participant which sparked her interest in the outdoors. This led Chantelle to train as a qualified instructor through Young Bristol’s Instructor Training Scheme, she then continued employment as an Outdoor Instructor for 2 years. This inspired a real passion for working with Young People so Chantelle travelled to South Africa to volunteer for 3 months as part of the International Citizen Service programme (ICS). Her experience of ICS helped to develop her confidence & skills so once the opportunity to become a Youth Worker with Young Bristol arose she felt it was too good of a chance for her to miss.

Aston – National Citizen Service (NCS) Engagement Coordinator
Aston is a new member of the National Citizen Service Team at Young Bristol. Recently Graduated she studied Sports Business Management at the University of Worcester. She has a wealth of experience within the sporting sector having competed at the highest level within Kickboxing for over 15 years. She became passionate about working with Young People when she started working for a local Youth Club coaching sessions and then going on to become an ambassador for a local charity which is very close to her heart.

Rosy – Assistant Administrator
Rosy is the face behind the social media at Young Bristol and also assists with data entry and administration at the charity’s office and across its 20+ youth clubs. She joined the team with a degree in English Literature from the University of Liverpool and two years experience working in PR and Marketing agencies in the North West of England.
