International Youth Day 2019

Today is International Youth Day 2019, and this years’ theme is “transforming education” and the efforts to make education more relevant, equitable and inclusive for all youth, including efforts by youth themselves

At Young Bristol, we provide safe, fun and supportive community clubs, activity centres and programmes where we help young people to be confident, resilient, successful, healthy and responsible. We create learning opportunities which will have a positive and sustainable impact on the lives of young people and the community.

“We believe that every young person has the right to discover what they’re capable of!”

With significant cuts to youth service budgets and recent figures showing a *51% drop in the overall number of youth centres supported by English local authorities since 2011, youth service providers such as Young Bristol, are having to adapt to the changing needs, creating innovative programmes which will help individuals reach their aspirations and potential.

Today we have been showcasing and highlighting areas of Young Bristol’s work which support young people to develop their skills, and programmes that enable young people to gain further qualifications to access alternative pathways to employment.

For more information on Young Bristol’s programmes contact us on or call 0117 929 2513.
