Six weeks of countless new experiences, friends and fun!

We were thrilled to be joined by over 300 people for our NCS Summer Programme Graduation at The Bristol Hotel, on Sunday 1st September 2019.

This summer saw 140 young people take part in the programme, a total of 3870 social action hours completed, £2,870.88 raised for 13 charities, and the number of new friends made and experiences had – countless!

We’ve seen young people take on their fears and confront new challenges in a week of adventure in the Brecon Beacons, enjoy a week of learning and skill sharing whilst living in the halls of residence at Bristol University and the University of the West of England, followed by a week of social action supporting local organisations and causes across the city. What a summer we’ve had!

The Graduation on Sunday 1st September was the perfect finale to the six weeks of programme, celebrating the achievements of the young people involved; presenting them with their certificates and post-graduation opportunities. It was also a great opportunity to congratulate the Wave Leaders and staff involved in making the programme a success, as well as hearing from local MP Kerry McCarthy and NCS Graduate James who completed this years programme.

If you were involved in our Summer NCS Programme and have any questions relating to the post-NCS opportunities available to you, then please call 0117 929 2513 or email ncs@youngbristol.com.
