Thank you to the 60 supporters who joined us for our 2019 Annual General Meeting this week, reflecting on the success of our programmes during 2018-19 and our future developments.

This years’ Annual General Meeting was kindly hosted by Burges Salmon LLP, and was a great opportunity to share our latest Impact Report for 2018-19, and launch our new short-video ‘Our Values’. Our CEO Lee Williams also gave an update to attendees on Young Bristol’s 2020 Strategy and where we are now.

Our 2020 Strategy was developed in 2017, with support from our Business Partners, Board of Trustees, staff, Core Insights and the young people who engage with our services across the city. The Strategy outlined how Young Bristol would continue to deliver a high quality service, whilst being able to respond to the needs of young people now and in the future.

During the AGM, 5 strategic priorities were outlined and updates were given against each of these, to showcase how we have met, or are working to meet these, in the future.

Some of our key progress updates include:

  • Providing a voice for young people in our work and in their communities → Young Bristol’s Youth Voice launch
  • Exploring new ways of delivering our work → launching Mobile Youth Provision and intergenerational programmes
  • Designing ways of measuring impact that reflect the work we do → improving on our data management systems and migrating to a new system
  • Developing funding plans to support our objectives → recruiting volunteers, local management committees and creating our 2019-22 Fundraising Strategy
