Young Bristol Staff Training Zoom

We are committed to staff development during Lockdown

At Young Bristol, we continue to show our commitment to investing in our staff team, building on their skills and knowledge, to better support the young people we work with.

This week, 22 members of the staff team from our Youth Clubs, Management Committees, programmes and office team attended Child Exploitation Training with Andri Vai Nicolaou, Child Sexual and Criminal Exploitation Prevention Officer at Avon and Somerset Police. Staff who attended the training said:

“Thank you for the extremely informative workshop. You highlighted a lot of areas I simply did not know existed!

“Thanks for organising, it was so useful and engaging! I’d be interested in attending more training like that (as apposed to online self led training).”

Very thought provoking and very informative”

Young Bristol also continue to support staff to gain qualifications, with 11 Youth Workers from our city-wide Youth Clubs currently working towards gaining their Level 2 + 3 Youth Work Qualifications.

We will continue to review training opportunities available to the staff team, to make sure we are up-to-date with practices and knowledge, therefore ensuring continual development of all those working at Young Bristol.
