Young Bristol support 1,500 young people this summer!

Providing critical out-of-school services supporting children and young people to stay healthy and happy during the school holidays.

Young Bristol’s Holiday Clubs for 8 – 19 year olds are located in many areas across Bristol. During the school holidays our Community Youth Clubs and Outdoor Activities Team ran sessions during the daytime, which provided young people with exciting new opportunities, free prepared meals and a safe space to have fun with friends!

As well as our Holiday Clubs, Young Bristol continued to deliver a programme of sessions as part of our Community Youth Clubs, Youth Club on Wheels, Outdoor Activity Programmes, and our Youth Arts Action residential.

This summer Young Bristol saw…

  • 3,778 contacts with young people
  • 1,555 young people supported
  • 279 city-wide sessions
  • 1,618 free meals and drinks provided
  • 16 communities across Bristol and surrounding areas

Both my kids enjoyed the holiday scheme and have asked to go back next half term”.

This summer our programmes supported children and young people to:

  • Take part in new and exciting opportunities,
  • Learn new skills and increase their confidence,
  • Make new friendships.

Young Bristol would like to thank the Your Holiday Hub Bristol Programme, supported by Bristol City Council and The Department for Education, for supporting 6 of our Holiday Hubs. We would also like to thank St John’s Foundation for funding our Youth Club on Wheels sessions in Bishop Sutton, Keynsham and Pensford.
