Celebrating #YouthWorkWeek!

“Every community needs a provision for young people. Youth work is the bridge between school and home life – making a world of difference in a young persons life.”

This #YouthWorkWeek, Young Bristol celebrated our Champions of Youth Work who provide guidance, who inspire, who listen, who support, and who empower young people across Bristol.

Our Youth Workers have supported 609 new young people at our community spaces, mobile provision and activity centres since April 2021, providing early intervention to support them to achieve great futures. Most importantly, our Youth Workers are always there for the young people who need us most.

Our Youth Work Champions are not only our Youth Workers, but the young people who help others to have their voices heard! Our Youth Voice group have been doing just that speaking with young people across the city to find out their needs, what they’d like to see in their local community and how we can support them.

Thank you to our Champions of Youth Work who continue to be at the heart of our communities, making a difference for children and young people.
