New Walking Tennis programme launches at Community Youth Club

A fun game accessible to EVERYONE… Why not come and have a hit?

Young Bristol are thrilled to announce we will be delivering Walking Tennis sessions for people 55, following the success of our Walking Football programme.

The programme which is kindly funded by LTA, will launch on Wednesday 7th September 2022, and will see weekly sessions take place at Young Bristol’s BS14 Youth Club, which is under-utilised whilst children and young people attend school.

It is our passion for our youth clubs to become a vibrant facilitator to the whole community; reducing social isolation and loneliness, connecting communities, and improving attitudes to the local area.

Walking Tennis is for anyone who wants to play tennis, but at their own pace. It’s ideal for those who:

  • Used to play tennis but now just need a bit more time getting to the ball
  • Have never played tennis before and want to build up their confidence
  • Are looking to get more active while having fun
  • Are recovering from an injury and working back towards full fitness

When: Every Wednesday, 1:00pm – 2:30pm

Where: BS14 Youth Club, Stockwood Lane, Stockwood, Bristol, BS14 8SJ

Sessions will be led by Qualified Coach, Jeff Dickens, and cost £4 per person and include a hot beverage. Sessions will take place in the Youth Clubs indoor and outdoor courts, so please dress appropriately. All abilities welcome.

Please click here to register your place. If you would like more information please contact Jeff Dickens on 0787 728 7072.
