This summer saw 27 days of Holiday Clubs delivered across 7 of Young Bristol’s community venues and outdoor activity centres, working with new and existing children and young people, providing them with exciting and enriching new opportunities, access to healthy food and the opportunity to build new friendships.
Young Bristol’s Holiday Clubs for 8 – 19 year olds are located in many areas across Bristol. During the school holidays our Community Youth Clubs and Outdoor Activities Team ran sessions during the daytime, which provided young people with activities, free prepared meals and a safe space to have fun! Our programmes had a focus on supporting those who receive free school meals.
This summer Young Bristol saw…
- 1,768 contacts with young people,
- 914 free meals and drinks provided,
- 104 city-wide sessions,
- 7 communities supported across Bristol.
They really enjoyed the sessions at BS14 Youth Club!”
This summer our programmes supported children and young people to:
- Take part in new and exciting opportunities,
- Learn new skills and increase their confidence,
- Make new friendships.
Young Bristol would like to thank our staff team, partner organisations and funders for helping to make this summer one to remember. We would also like to thank the Your Holiday Hub Bristol Programme, supported by Bristol City Council and The Department for Education, for supporting 6 of our Holiday Clubs at our city-wide Community Youth Club venues.
