Last week was the third week of the Summer Holiday Provision. We saw delivery across 6 of Young Bristol’s Community Youth Clubs and Outdoor Activity Centre, working with new and existing young people, providing them with exciting and enriching opportunities, access to a free meal an the opportunity to build new friendships.
The third week of our Summer Holiday Provision saw:
- 316 contacts with young people
- 20 sessions across the city
- 91 free meals provided
- 6 communities supported.
Key highlights of the week:
Young people at Ashton Vale Club for Young People experienced a cooking workshop, delivered by Alex from 50 Ways to Cook. The group made delicious toasties with salad for lunch. While making their lunch, they all learned the importance of healthy eating.
The Grove had their final session of the Summer on Thursday. Our Club Leader handed out certificates to young people that went above and beyond to participate in activities and help our staff.
Our Youth Club On Wheels visited some new sites this week. We have now started delivering in Southmead, Speedwell and Hengrove. To find out more about our new sessions over the Summer, click here.
Young Bristol would like to thank our staff team, partner organisations and funders for helping make last week part of the summer of a lifetime. We would also like to thank the Your Holiday Hub Bristol Programme, supported by Bristol City Council and The Department for Education, for supporting our Holiday Clubs at our city-wide Community Youth Club venues.
