At Young Bristol we believe that every young person has the right to discover what they're capable of; supporting them to be confident, healthy, responsible, resilient and successful.
We are pleased to share this short-video 'Our Values', featuring young people from our Community Youth Clubs, outdoor activities and educational programmes, sharing the impact of our work in their own words.
With special thanks to Ashton Vale Club for Young People, Avon Youth Club, Sea Mills Boys' and Girls Club, Hartcliffe Club for Young People, and City of Bristol College, for featuring in the video. We would also like to thank PaoloR Freelance Web Designer and Videographer for producing the short-video.

Supporting Young Bristol is really important to us, and this is definitely one of the best parts of our ongoing partnership!"

The team at Ashton Vale Club for Young people focused their efforts on transforming the main space and media suite at the club. Using colours chosen by our young people, the team at Ashton Vale worked together to give the club a vibrant refresh with a new coat of paint. Their work has created a brightened space in the club, making a well-respected place for our young people to enjoy!
Young Bristol are delighted to share that Shea Stew, Youth Club on Wheels Lead, has been shortlisted for the "Youth Worker" Award at the Age-Friendly Awards 2025!
The Age-Friendly Awards, hosted in collaboration with InCommon and Clarion Futures, celebrates intergenerational social action in communities and shines a light on the groups and individuals that are making this happen.
Shea and the Youth Club on Wheels were nominated by SNG for the "Youth Worker" Award for his work with young people in Brislington and Speedwell. The Youth Worker Award recognises an outstanding youth worker who has worked hard to make connections with people in their community. Until recently, these were two areas within Bristol that didn't have access to youth provision and had no support in place.
"Shea's energy is renowned, and our residents have seen improvements in their confidence, feeling of being connected to the community, volunteering experience, and feeling empowered."

This week, we were delighted to invite the team from Leggwork to BS14 Youth Club, where four employees dedicated their day to help us improve our facilities for young people!
During their voluntary day, the volunteers from Leggwork painted around the door frames and the skirtings in the main space at club. The team also painted our newly created meeting and quite space. This has helped us to brighten the inside facilities at BS14 Youth Club, helping to create a well-respected, safe area for young people.
Thank you to the team from Leggwork for your continued support!

This month, two incredible trainees from Young Bristol's Outdoor Employment Programme joined Super Sliders Ice Sports Foundation in St Moritz, Switzerland to take part in their Gold programme!
Our Outdoor Employment Programme has been involved with the SuperSliders Ice Sports Foundation since 2022, where a number of trainees have been involved with and taken part in their Bronze and Silver Programmes at Bath Univeristy's bobsleigh track. Dan and Jack, two Outdoor Employment Programme trainees, took their sliding experience to the next level, being offered to complete their 'Gold Control' award at the Olympia Bobsleigh run in Switzerland!
Over their three day trip in Switzerland, they completed seven runs of the track, tackling speeds of over 100km/h and incredibly tight corners, covering 1.7 km in under 90 seconds! Dan and Jack were awarded with the 'Gold Control' certificate for their time and efforts across the week!
"Thanks Phil from Young Bristol and the Super Sliders team for the amazing experience, it's been phenomenal. Definitely a week to remember, one thing I'll miss is that morning ice track walk and going down it at 70mph plus the views."
Jack, Outdoor Employment Programme Trainee
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Super Sliders ISF, who have made this once in a lifetime opportunity possible for our trainees! If you would like to find out more about how you can get involved with our Outdoor Employment Programme, click here!
