This week is Volunteer Week, and Young Bristol would like to share a special thanks to everyone who has chosen to support Young Bristol in each and every capacity. This week, we would like to shine a light on our amazing corporate partners, who have gone above and beyond to voluntarily raise money and support Young Bristol.
One example, from our number of incredibly generous partnerships we have developed, is BBS Plumbing and Heating Supplies. BBS contacted us prior to their 90th birthday event, where they were looking to support a local charity to help benefit the next generation of Bristolians. Their initial fundraising efforts at their 90th celebration raised over £5,000 for Young Bristol!
Since their initial contact, BBS have been involved and plan to take part in a wide variety of work and events such as, supplying new bathrooms at The Grove @ Bedminster Down, entering a team into our Golf Day & Dinner 2024 and plan to take part in the South West Tough Mudder! The team also plan to do more fundraising over the summer to help raise money alongside the Tough Mudder.
Dan McCrum, Marketing Manager at BBS said
“Working with Young Bristol has opened our eyes to how difficult it is for young people in Bristol and across the country and how badly a lack of government funding is impacting youth work and young people’s livelihoods and as a result, companies like ours and private grants are what charities and youth organisations are reliant upon to keep their work going.”
During our partnerships so far, the team at BBS have really enjoyed seeing all the impactful work Young Bristol do for young people every day, but also ahve enjoyed the "fun fundraising" that we have offered to them so far. The team look forward to taking part in more in the future.
Thank you to BBS Plumbing and Heating Supplies and our other corporate partners for your continued support and voluntary efforts to support Young Bristol and the young people of Bristol.
